A UNIQUE STRUCTURE
The structure of baby skin is similar to that of adults. However, the skin layers are less pronounced in babies.
Human skin consists of three layers: the hypodermis with fat cells, the dermis with sweat glands and blood vessels, and the epidermis, the actual protective layer.
THE SENSITIVE SKIN OF YOUR BABY
Your baby’s skin is three to five times thinner than that of an adult. This means that it is much more susceptible to external stimuli. It dries out more quickly and pathogens and bacteria can penetrate more easily.
Baby skin therefore needs special care and attention to protect it in the best possible way.
